Internal quality assurance is a method to ensure quality of training and assessing, this is carried out by watching training or assessing sessions, viewing equipment, paperwork and Trainer qualifications.


The purpose of Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) is to help ensure learners are treated fairly and consistently and that Trainer Assessors are adhering to IQL guidelines for course and assessment delivery.


IQL are committed to ensuring standards are maintained in accordance to the guidance set for each qualification. Each Approved Training Centre/Provider should appoint one or more Internal Quality Assurance Assessors and manage the annual internal quality assurance of training courses and assessments.
